Sanniquellie City Hall Burglarized

By Solomon Gaye Sr
Liberia National Police has confirmed report of burglary at the Sanniquellie City Hall in Nimba County.
Speaking to this paper at the Police Station in Sanniquellie over the weekend, a senior CSD officer explained that Mayor Moima Kamara informed the Police verbally about the alleged burglary and following investigation at the crime scene, it was established that the iron bar at the back of the city hall building had been removed by the criminals thereby using the space to enter.
The CSD officer said preliminary investigation revealed that the City Corporation does not have security to protect that government facility and he said that Mayor Kamara has failed to cooperate with investigators as she is reneging on filing a formal complaint and therein listing the materials stolen.
Since the beginning of May, there have been reports of burglary at public buildings in the county as the Ministry of Gender sub-office in Sanniquellie was reportedly burglarized while the alleged perpetrators are still at large.
When this paper contacted Mayor Kamara, she confirmed the alleged burglary and alleged that over sixty pieces of the plastic chairs were -stolen; injecting that the case was reported to the police but there has been no arrest leading to the crime.
