The Sanniquellie City Cooperation has been burglarized by unknown persons creating panic among the residents in the county.
Speaking to this paper in Sanniquellie, Mayor Zramein Zinor, said the area was burglarized over the weekend.
According to the Sanniquellie mayor, the criminals broke through the house at night and stole the electrical wire from the compound.
“The criminals disconnected the entire building and carried away the wire providing electricity, thereby putting the building in total darkness,” Mayor Zinor stated.
“The case was reported to Superintendent Kou Gono; I am writing a formal complaint to inform the police,” Mayor Zinor indicated.
This is the third burglary of a public building in less than a year.
In 2023, the local office of the Ministry of Education in Sanniquellie was burglarized and the criminals made away with over 15 cartoons of senior high textbooks.
In December 2023, the administrative building was burglarized and three air conditioners were carried away.
When this paper attempted to contact the human resource personnel at the local office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Darius Vaye, the office was locked up to press time.
When contacted, the private security guard assigned at the compound, informed this paper that owing to the death of Senator PYJ, the HR is very busy and is out.
