Robert Teah Finally Takes Over Kru Town As Governor

Controversial Robert Teah has been officially inducted as the new governor of the Borough of New Kru Town, succeeding Moses Doe Weah.
Addressing a gathering, Governor Teah expressed his profound gratitude and commitment to serving District #16 in Montserrado County declaring, “It is a great honor to serve the people of the Borough of New Kru Town.”
Teah acknowledged the trust placed in him by President Joseph Boakai and extended his appreciation to the outgoing governor, Weah, for his contributions to maintaining peace and providing community services to the people of the borough.
The new governor outlined his plans for the borough, emphasizing his commitment to advancing key areas such as peace, reconciliation, sanitation, infrastructural development, healthcare, education, and security.
He called for the collective support of all community members and elders from the six nominating districts to foster a unified effort towards these goals.
“My leadership is dedicated to inclusivity. We will involve elders from all six districts and establish various committees to address and improve all sectors in our borough,” Teah stated.
The ceremony, attended by officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local business leaders, was marked by a sense of unity and shared purpose.
Governor Teah sounded a rallying call for collaboration geared towards enhancement of the borough’s environment and overall well-being.
In closing, Teah expressed his gratitude to President Boakai and the residents of New Kru Town, thanking them for their support and participation.
“Together, we can make New Kru Town great and peaceful once again. God bless the people of New Kru Town and Liberia,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Governor Teah inherited from the former Governor, Moses Doe Weah and his Vice Governor Wleh Wleh Koffa US$12, 94 and L$56, 061, 64 as monies left in the Borough’s accounts.
