High Power Exploration (“HPX”), and its subsidiaries Ivanhoe-Liberia and Société des Mines de Fer de Guinée (SMFG), have reacted to media report- describing the “cash receipt” document pictured indicated in the article as fake and misleading.
HPX is a privately-owned, U.S.-domiciled mineral exploration and development company. Ivanhoe Liberia Limited is a Liberian Domestic Corporation and wholly owned independent subsidiary of HPX.
In a press statement issued over the weekend, HPX says FrontPage Africa‘s article which suggesting that HPX issued a payment to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Bhofal Chambers in exchange for “Legislative Engagement” should not be given any iota of credence because it is fabricated.
HPX further described the report as lie and intended to erode the hard earned reputation of the company and the House of the House of Representatives. Adding, “Confirms that this is categorically false and the purported “cash receipt” document pictured in the article is fake.
