Rep. Tokpah Pledges Support For
Weah’s Reelection On PYJ’s Order

Representative Prince Tokpah of District 2 says he is overwhelmed with the ruling Coalition government’s workings as Liberia moves towards the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
He said that their Senator, Prince Johnson, supports the regime and has informed them to likewise direct the Nimba support towards President Weah.
“I am in the opposition but if I see development and good things for my people, it is important that I recognize it,” Nimba County District Representative Tokpah said.
In his speech when he welcomed the President in Sanniquellie City on July 13, Rep. Tokpa pledged his full support to the second term bid of President Weah.
He said that Nimba’s unity and development are of paramount interest and concern and as such, his support to President Weah’s re-election is undoubtedly inevitable.
President Weah then expressed excitement and lauded the Nimba District lawmaker for what he described as not just a timely decision but a good one adding, “Indeed wise men change, so welcome on board.”
President Weah then asserted that the move by Representative Tokpah further demonstrates the love for his people in Nimba and Liberia in general.
”In my mind, I see no opposition; what I see and is concerned about is governance. Even if you say you’re opposition and because of that you criticize everything government does, and you go about talking; talk because talk is cheap,” Weah intoned.
In a related development; a youthful group under the banner “Progressive Movement for Weah Re-election, has been formed and
Weah promised to see the organizers of the Pro-more Weah in Monrovia.
He also instructed Commissioner Len Eugene Nagbe and Pecci Yeke to purchase the group’s demand which include a pick-up, generator and flyers, among others.
The group’s objective was also buttressed by the Faculty of Nimba University and university students for President Weah’s re-election.
