The Representative of District 5 in Margibi County, Clarence G. Gahr has strengthened his relationship with the Muslim community through a significant donation to support the observance of this year’s Holy Month of Ramadan.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Rep. Gahr met with the district’s imam council before donating LR$375,000 and 250 bags of 25kg rice to 14 mosques across the district. The donation was ceremonially handed over to the council by Rep. Gahr’s office staffs on Wednesday.
In addition to these contributions, Gahr through his staffers, pledged further support for the Muslim community by facilitating representation from District 5 at this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca.
This promise underscores the Margibi Lawmaker’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and addressing the spiritual needs of his constituents.
During the presentation, Rep. Gahr expressed his delight in supporting the community and urged Muslims in Margibi and beyond to pray for peace, unity, and divine protection for all humanity.
He emphasized that the donation aims to assist the community in their fasting and prayers throughout Ramadan while encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith.
Gahr also called for equitable distribution of the donated items to ensure that those most in need benefit from this assistance.
The leadership of the Muslim community responded with heartfelt gratitude, thanking the lawmaker for recognizing their needs and pledging their unwavering support for advancing the district’s development agenda.
