Religious Leaders Crowned Moye ‘Political Godfather’ For Bong

A group of religious leaders under the banner “Prophetic Call to Ministry Like-minded Pastors” has named and honored Senator Prince Kermue Moye as the “Political Godfather” of Bong County.
The president of the organization and Bishop of the Dominion Christian Fellowship Center in Gbarnga, Minikon E. Nyenpan revealed that Senator Moye for his dedication to Bong County’s growth since his entry into politics.
Bishop Nyenpan noted that the “Political Godfather” title was recognition of Moye’s efforts to bring progress to the County and Liberia at large.
The Dominion Christian Fellowship Center Church Bishop admonished the Bong County Senator to use his new influence to further unite the county and spearhead additional development initiatives.
He further urged Senator Moye to organize a county-wide reconciliatory conference to foster collaboration among all political figures to promote peace in the County.
“Religious leaders in Liberia had long avoided involvement in politics, adding this has led a non-Christians dominating the political sphere. We are urging the church to play a more active role in shaping the country’s political future,” he added.
Meanwhile, Senator Moye lauded the Prophetic Call to Ministry Like-minded Pastors for the honor bestowed upon him.
The Bong County Senator attributed the title of political “Godfather” to his overwhelming victory in the 2020 senatorial elections.
“I have held the title of ‘Bong County Political Godfather’ since 2020, bestowed upon me by the people of Bong. It’s not something that can be undone. If you want to reverse it, you’ll have to jump under trucks,” Senator Moye stressed.
He vowed to continue working toward unity in Bong County, although he acknowledged that some individuals might resist efforts toward reconciliation.
Senator Moye was, on March 22, 2025, officially crowned and certificated as the King of Bong’s politics, also known as the ‘Political Godfather,’ by a group of clergymen under the nomenclature Prophetic Call to Ministry Like-minded Pastors at the Dominion Christian Fellowship Center in Gbarnga, Bong County.
