Several residents and stakeholders of Quadu Gboni District in Lofa County have hailed Senator Momo Cyrus for what they termed as good and impactful leadership he continues to demonstrate within the County and Country at large.
The residents also thanked their senator and lauded him for being a ‘cut a cross leader’, emphasizing, “You are true leader who doesn’t discriminate people along tribal and religious lines; indeed, you are leader for everyone.”
As a sound of appreciation and support, the Lofa lawmaker was gowned by his people, for among other reasons, his good leadership and impactful work for the past months since assuming his senatorial position.
Also, the Senator has been in the vanguard of championing the cause for genuine peace and reconciliation among the people of Lofa and Liberia in general, as well as a conducive working environment for the country’s security personnel.
Known as the former bread basket for Liberia, Lofa, like other counties in Liberia, continues to experience bad roads, hardship among the population, poor health care and educational facilities as well as lack of unity.
The county is gradually making efforts in sports, infrastructure development in some parts as well as unity and reconciliation, but more still needs to be done.
Speaking during the honoring program, the Lofians named the provision of scholarships for their children including empowerment and other opportunities and initiatives which they said warrant commendation and honored.
According to them, Sen. Cyrus is a true leader who understands the plights of his people and is working gradually to address them, and asserted, “We are so impressed with our Senator and we made the right decision and we encourage him to do more for us and not to see this as the end but the beginning of more good things for us.”
Sen. Cyrus thanked his people for recognizing his work and leadership in the county, and said he was especially moved when the citizens of Quadu Gboni recognized him for being a leader for everyone despite, tribal or religious lines.
He has at the same time reassured them that he will continue to be a leader for all Lofians and Liberians in general as long as God continues to bless him with long life, evident to his impact on the lives of women and children, the disabled and sporting, among others.
Meanwhile, Sen. Cyrus used the occasion to place as one of his top priorities, youth empowerment through scholarships initiatives, women empowerment through loans and the construction of roads in the county among others.
The Lofa County Senator disclosed that he envisioned a county where the strong sons and daughters will be re-united and work together as family in order to develop the fertile and unique county
