Public Trust Media Group (PTMG) headed by prominent Liberian Journalist, Frank Sainworla, Jr. will officially launch a public fund drive campaign today, Friday, March 3, 2023.
The campaign which seeks to sustain the half-hour weekly radio magazine program, 2023 ELECTIONS UPDATE which is currently aired on seven radio stations which has so far provided free air time begins at 1:30 pm in the University of Liberia Graduate School Auditorium on Capitol Hill instead of the UL auditorium as was earlier communicated to a cross-section of invitees from all spectrum of the society.
The official launch of the Sustainability Fund Drive of the program with the slogan “Ballots, Not Bullets, is civic education initiative via radio and online which kicked off two months ago to give early elections information to the Liberian public, ahead of October 10 and beyond.
The show, which is produced and presented by Frank Sainworla, is exclusively devoted to election issues and not personalities, with the objective to promote free, fair, credible, transparent and violenc-free presidential and legislative elections on October 10.
One of the first themes covered by this radio magazine show spotlighted the wave of pre-campaigning activities in the country, flagging how it contradicts the country’s election law and regulations.
Topping the list of an array of personalities invited to the event is President George Manneh Weah, opposition politicians, private citizens and the general public.
The seven radio stations which has so far been broadcasting the show are ECOWAS Radio, Truth Bana FM, Prime, United Methodist Radio, LUX FM amd Power FM with plans to extend the coverage to many other urban and rural stations.
