Prophet Key Eyes Presidency-2029 -Expects To Return Home Next Year

By Bill W. Cooper
A renowned Facebook propagandist and self-proclaimed prophet, Nayaborqua Oldpa Yeazeahn, alias “Prophet Key”, has announced his intention to contest as a presidential candidate in Liberia’s 2029 general elections.
Prophet Key, who is widely followed for his continuous ‘invective’ used on his live Facebook show dubbed “The Prophet Key Show”, made the disclosure on Monday, September 2, 2024, when he appeared as a guest on Truth FM radio in Monrovia.
When questioned about Liberia, he declared and expressed his optimism and confidence to lead the country and bring about positive changes which Liberians so desired and are yearning for.
However, the announcement came as a surprise to many, as Prophet Key has never been involved in electoral politics but only used his platform to ‘badmouth’ leaders and other prominent Liberians.
It can be recalled that in January of this year, the Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice issued a Writ of Summons for Prophet Key, after former Culture Ambassador, Juli Endee, filed a US$5 million lawsuit against him in an Action of Damages for Slander and Libel.
Madam Endee, at the time, prevailed upon the Civil Law Court in Monrovia to adjudge the defendant liable for damages in the amount not less than US$5M after informing the court that he used his platform to rain insult on her persona.
She added that sometimes in the month of December, 2023, in two of the defendant’s video podcasts published on social media, he willfully, intentionally, and purposely engaged in a slanderous and libelous campaign to harm and defame, embarrass, and humiliate the plaintiff.
But the court, however, dropped the charges brought against Prophet Key on grounds that the case had no merit, as this is just one of the many instances that Prophet Key has been accused of such behavior.
During the interview, he stated that he has been guided by a divine calling to serve his country and people, whether through the Legislature or Presidency to help it reach its full potential.
“I have received a vision from God that I am destined to lead Liberia to greatness, and I believe that I have the spiritual insight and leadership qualities necessary to bring about the changes that our country so desperately needs,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, in addition to his presidential ambition, Prophet Key also made another surprising announcement, revealing that he plans to return home by 2025, four years ahead of the presidential and legislative elections.
He explained that he believes his presence in the country will help him better understand the challenges facing the citizenry and prepare him for the task of leading the country to prosperity, once elected.
“I have always felt a strong connection to Liberia and its people. I believe that by coming back home maybe by 2025/2026, I will gain valuable insights that will enable me to be a more effective leader for my people,” he added.
Meanwhile, despite the many challenges confronting Liberia, Prophet Key reiterated that he remains confident in his abilities and his divine calling and determination to serve and bring about positive changes and create a better future for all Liberians.
