Narcotic Drugs Hit Sinoe ….As LDEA Sends 2 For Prosecution

The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Sinoe County detachment on Friday at 7:00A.M apprehended two men in upper Tartweh in Kpanyan District 1 in Sinoe County.


Moses Togba, 38, and Kru by tribe is a resident of upper Tartweh Sinoe County and was arrested by a team of LDEA on plan view where they saw him processing drugs materials with one and half plate of marijuana at a street value of LD 30,000 and cocaine worth LD 290,000.


The LDEA also confiscated a tube of high grade drugs worth LD70, 000 and raps of marijuana valued at LD 75,000.


The OIC of the LDEA in the county, Easiah T Kumoteh, told this that, based upon the suspect’s statement, the LDEA had no option but to charge him by the new amended law of 2014 Section 14:103 and 14:107.
Also Diven Chea, 38 of the Grebo by tribe and a resident of upper Tartweh Sinoe County was arrested by a team of LDEA headed by OIC Kumoteh.


According OIC Kumoteh, they saw suspect Chea with zokos smoking at his house where he was apprehended with seven tubes of high grade drugs with the street value of LD160, 000 and one and a half kilogram of drugs of marijuana worth at LD 30,000.


Based upon his statement to the LDEA investigators, the investigation charged suspect Chea by the amended law of 2014 Section 14:103 and 14:107.
The two suspects are being placed behind bars awaiting court trial


Meanwhile, the OIC of the Sinoe County LDEA detachment called on the community dwellers to help in buttressing the efforts of the LDEA by giving information on illegal drugs trade in their communities noting that, those who are selling the drugs live within the communities as such, its dwellers need to share information for action if the act is to be curtailed.
