Pepper Football Club head Coach Petannie Mulbah has been named ‘Best Coach’ of the 2023 in Montsereado County’s Third Division Playoff.
The CAF License ‘C’ coach guided his side to the title following their 1-0 win over Discoveries Sports Academy in the final at the Tusa Field football pitch in Gardnersville on Sunday May 14, 2023.
Mulbah whose team won both the Gardnersville sub-committee league and the Montserrado Third Division Playoff continue with their impressive unbeaten record.
The team expressed overwhelming strength over its opponents throughout the domestic competition and the county playoff
The experienced coach had a better season and was excited about the performance of his team in the just-ended league.
The Burning Boys are now Montserrado One and will compete in Group A of the National Third Division promotional playoff.
In this group, Pepper FC of Montserrado, Blue Lake of Bomi County, Wee Defenders of Grand Bassa and Dominion of Nimba County will go neck-to-neck against each other in a round ribbon format to have the top two of the group advancing to the next stage of the 32 teams’ competition.
The National Promotional Playoff is a program intended to see top teams from the third division’s level of the 15 different sub associations of the Liberia Football Association across the country striving for promotion to the National Second Division league.
The top three performing teams in the entire playoff are automatically promoted to replace the least performing teams of the past season who were relegated at the end of the season.
