The Chairperson of the Montserrado Sub Association (MSA) under the Liberia Football Association Milton Yoko has disclosed that all leagues under the MSA have officially kicked off with smooth supervision.
According to Yoko, the loads of competition activities under the obligation of the MSA is now in full swing with games being played on a daily basis across different venues in Montserrado County.
Speaking to sports media on the sideline of the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex practice pitch during the start of the Lower Women League, the MSA chairman asserted that the teams and players in the sub association have expressed excitement for their respective competitions working smoothly with the steering committee and match officials.
He explained that performances by players have shown on their faces and lips that they are happy to participate in the competition and the MSA is working beyond every cause to make sure that the dreams of the kids are achieved.
Chairman Yoko named 11 leagues under the Montserrado Sub Association that are targeted to keep kids engaged with sporting activities during their vacation as a way of distracting them from participating in other activities that are not beneficiary to the society.
He named the mass league along with 10 other programs that are in swing for grassroot sports development with many to include mass league and different women programs.
As it stands, Chairman Yoko noted that only one of the teams in the lower women league has reported to the MSA that due to some financial situation they will not participate in the league thus dropping the number of women teams to 11.
He confirmed that the late pullout of the team that has reported to drop from the competition does not in any way affect the stance of the program but will enhance strong competition.
