Parents of the Saint Moses three missing boys saga have sharply rejected recent claims made by the Liberia National Police (LNP) Deputy Inspector General for Crime Services, Prince Mulbah when he appeared before members of the Liberian Senate describing his assertion as “deliberate lies.”
“We, as family members have been fully cooperating with the LNP and the Ministry of Justice since the disappearance of our children. So it is very unfortunate that the Police Deputy Chief will openly lie like he did before the Liberian Senate,” the family spokesperson said.
Recently, Deputy IG Prince Mulbah told members of the Liberian Senate that the three missing boys’ families had been very unsupportive, adding that they had since refused to give what he calls, “Maximum Cooperation” to the LNP since the investigation started.
“Every time we call them, informing them that we are enforcing our search team at the river bank, looking for these missing persons, they told us that they were confident that their children were not dead. And so it gives us the reason to believe that, since they know where the people are, it was good to come to the police and give us the information”, Deputy IG Mulbah intoned.
In response to the Deputy IG for Crime Services on Ok FM, on Tuesday, March 2, the spokesman of the three families, Samuka Konneh revealed that they have been supportive towards the police on numerous occasions contrary to his claims.
He explained, “What the police had anticipated of us for which they consider us non-compliant is, for the families to come in agreement with the LNP that drowning took place and it is something that we do not want to agree with. So concerning that statement about noncompliance as raised by Prince Mulbah, I want to say it is a “big lie.
Mr. Konneh further described the LNP’s action as “unfortunate and disappointing” emphasizing that the LNP in every effort has been unable to establish drowning and as such, the LNP under the leadership IG Patrick Sudue has become ineffective, regime police and inexperienced to reconstruct the actuality of a crime into falsehood.
According to him, the energies of the families remain increasingly high to pursue the recovery of their missing children which according to him are still alive and are being hidden by St. Moses for ritualistic purposes.
Also speaking, one of the three missing boys’ mother further accused the LNP of having some hidden agenda which she said are not working in the interest of them (the families), stressing, “Because up to date, the LNP is yet to document any formal complaint through means of case file at their headquarters despite several meetings held with them.”
It can be recalled that, the three missing boys, Robert M. Blamo, Siafa G. Boimah and Bobby S. Gbeanquoi who were hired by the owners of St. Moses Funeral Parlors sometimes last year to do a piece of job for him in Bong County reportedly drowned in the St. Paul River during the night while en route to Monrovia.
Since then, the family of the three missing boys, aged 27, 32 and 33 had since rejected reports by the police and others of drowning, noting that as far as they are concerned, their three children are all alive.
