Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti has extended a heartfelt welcome to the newly accredited U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, Mr. Mark Toner at an occasion held on behalf of President Joseph Boakai, marking a significant step in reinforcing the longstanding ties between the two nations.
Minister Nyanti praisee the US for its unwavering support and invaluable assistance to Liberia over the years. The event, which is also part of the diplomatic protocol, preceded Ambassador Toner’s formal presentation of his letter of credence to President Boakai.
Ambassador Toner will replace former U.S. Ambassador, Michael A. McCarthy, who served from January 2021 to July 2023, making significant contributions to U.S-Liberia relations.
In her welcoming remarks, Minister Nyanti emphasized the crucial role that the United States has played in ensuring Liberia’s stability and peace.
