MICAT Launches New Radio Program Today

The government through the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) will today, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, launch a new radio program named “Policy Dialogue” in Monrovia.
The Policy Dialogue, according to a MICA release, will serve as an additional public platform that is to provide access to national government information through the presentation of public officials and civil actors.
These strategic government officials will explain public policy issues that border on the many developmental undertakings of the state while also serving educative information to the Liberian populace and foreign residents.
MICAT says it’s a new Radio Program, which is based on Article 15 C. of the 1986 Constitution of the Republic of Liberia, which states, “In pursuance of this right, there shall be no limitation on the public right to be informed about the government and it’s functionaries”.
Policy Dialogue, which is expected to be launched at 10:30 local time, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, on Ok F.M. will bring to six (6) national platforms, including the regular Thursday’s MICAT Press Briefing, LINA Panorama, New Liberia News Paper, MICAT Facebook Live and MICAT Hour on ELBC.
These platforms, according to MICAT, are used to provide access to public information about the state and the workings of government, as it is being sponsored by USAID Liberia through Internews.
