MDR Is Not Deterred By-Says PYJ Chairman Kruah’s Dismissal

The founder of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) says the party is not deterred by the dismissal of its National Chairperson, Cllr Cooper Kruah from the Weah-led Government.
According to Senator Prince Y. Johnson, the government should be sharing positions across all sectors including his political party because it supported the CDC in 2017, however, he acknowledged that anyone appointed by the President of the Republic works at the will and pleasure of the President as such, he has no personal issues with the Liberian leader.
The Nimba County Senator averred that the dismissed Minister was already living a better life before his appointment by President George Weah.
Senator Johnson claimed that Cllr. Kruah even used his personal cash of over US$100,000 for the renovation of the entire Ministry of Post and Telecommunication in 2017 due to its filthiness at the time.
He is an asset not a liability so his dismissal is of no relevance to us. According to him, many citizens who saw the appalling state of the ministry before its refurbishment can attest.
Meanwhile, he has threatened to give President Weah a political bloody nose in revenge of his kinsman.
Cllr. Kruah who is also the Chairman for the MDR was dismissed Monday by President Weah days after he attended the naming ceremony of Ambassador Joseph Boakai’s running mate in Monrovia.
But speaking to Bana FM Tuesday via mobile phone, Senator Johnson stressed that the action of the Liberian leader justifies his readiness for a political fight against the MDR ahead of October 10, 2023 presidential and legislative elections in the country.
