Margibi 3rd Division Basketball Team Gets Citizens’ Support

Residents of Margibi have vowed to support the Gibi Hustlers Basketball Team as the only third division basketball club to represent the county in the Liberia Basketball Association National league season 2023.
At the most talked-about basketball court in Kakata, the Salvation Army High School made an impressive turn-up when the team launched a plan to officially embark on national competitions among others.
Key among those expressing wiliness to support the team’s programs was a Cuttington University Junior College lecturer and financier, Papi Glentis who made commitment to form part of the team’s sponsorship.
He said the vision bearer has been lobbying with him to join the process that is such a great opportunity that could not be allowed to go down the line.
“I am a financial person and a socialist that do not talk too much but to admit, this sport made me popular for which I changed schools in a semester,” he bragged.
In addition, Glentis notified that transportation will be one of the most important thing for the team to participate in competition, adding; “I commit 50% of whatever the cost of the full transportation for each of your participating games and moreover a bonus for a win in every game you play in the upcoming Liberia Basketball National Association Third Division League Season.”
Gibi Hustlers Basketball Team was founded in 2021 but it came to reality in 2023 when it was officially launched. The Margibi County outfit club Gibi Hustler Basketball Team will partake in the upcoming LBA 2022-2023 Third Division League Season.
Stephen Mulbah is the vision bearer where he is currently the president of the club while Coach Clarence Townsend serves as the Board Chairperson, Papi Glantis Co- Chair, Jarophic Jallah Guwor, Solomon B Martaley, Nathaniel Toe, Amie Kamara and Stephen Mulbah are all members.
The program was also climaxed with several sponsorship deals which include Gibitv Liberia, HOTSPOT LIBERIA TV and LTWS, among others and with the signing of several new players who are 90% from Margibi County.
