Man, 39, Killed In Fist Fight

A 39-year-old man identified as James Smith has been killed in an allege fist fight in Bong County.

Speaking at the Gbarnga Police Station over the weekend, CSD Superintendent J. Kellenso Flomo disclosed during preliminary investigation that the suspects admitted hitting the victim on his head.

According to Police, the incident occurred on April 14, 2024 in Jackson Village, in the Jorquelleah gold mine in Bong County.

CSD Superintendent Flomo said further that medical report reveals that the victim died from head injury during the fight at the golf mine.

“The victim was taken at the health center in Gbarnga and was pronounced dead by the hospital,” CSD Superintendent Flomo lamented.

“The suspects Joseph Fahn, 33 and Junior Kollie, 33 have all been charged and sent to court for prosecution,” CSD Superintendent Flomo disclosed.  

One of the suspects was charged with murder while the other was charged with aggregated assault for fighting the victim but not with stick,” CSD Superintendent Flomo explained.

During a normal routine at the Police Station, family members of the victim and the suspects were seen at the Police Station in Gbarnga over the weekend.

When this paper contacted the Police Commander office, the charged of quarters remain tight-lipped over the whereabouts of the commander.

“The two suspects were put behind bar and have been sent to court,” the police officers assigned at the charged of quarters reveals .
