Thirty-two teams under the Liberia Football Association (LFA) third division that have qualified for the 2022 -2023 national third division playoff stage have started intensive training as part of their preparation for the competition scheduled games expected to get underway on May 26, 2023 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.
One of such teams is the Barnesville based third division side Pepper FC who was on Sunday, May 14, 2023 crowned champions of the LFA Montserrado County third division playoff championship title after her 1-0 win against Discoveries FC while Caldwell United FC booked the national playoff spot after a 2-1 triumphed over LISALI FC at the Tusa Field Sports ground in Gardnerville, Montserrado County.
Mrs. Sarah Pelham Kamara is Pepper FC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in an exclusive interview called on her team’s head coach, Etine Mulbah, members of his technical staff and players to maintain the brilliant performances they displaced against their opponents doing the group and knockout stage of the league which she added helped them to qualified for the LFA 2023 national third division league playoff stage and also captured the LFA Montserrado County third division playoff championship trophy.
The team CEO assured her athletes that everything is on course for them in the area of sporting equipment and all other support for the playoff challenges against their opponents on and off the field of play and called on Coach Mulbah and his athletes to maintain their perfect ball control and finishing touches against their opponents until their dream of qualifying for the second division stage of the LFA comes to reality.
Mrs. Kamara said, “Pepper FC first game in the scheduled LFA national playoff would be played on May 27, 2023 at the ATS in Monrovia and I can assure that just how we went through the group and sub-association playoff stage of the league without a defeat, I can assure you that we are going to maintain our undefeated record against our opponents in the national playoff stage of the league until and we are crown champions and qualify for the second division stage of the nation’s football house the LFA.”
She paid tribute to her team head Coach Mulbah, members of his technical staff and players for the brilliant performances and good sportsmanship they displayed against their opponents on and off the field of play which she added helped them to first qualified for the LFA national playoff stage and also won the LFA Montserrado County third division playoff championship title and hoped that they will keep it ongoing until they qualify for the second division stage of the LFA.
