LNP Arrests Motorcyclist In Possession Of Firearm

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has arrested motorcyclist Christian Smith for illegally possessing a weapon.
On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the alleged suspect, Christian Smith, violently ran into the check point at Vamoma Junction along the Tubman Boulevard.
Responding officers’ report states that, while cyclist Smith was escaping, he ran into a moving vehicle in the opposite direction when he saw a Police vehicle ahead of him.
As a result of his accident, he sustained fracture on his left heel, knee and ankle, and was rushed to the trauma procedure room at the JFK Hospital.
The report further revealed that during the medical examination, he was discovered with a single barrel short gun and two rounds.
Currently, the accident victim now suspect is under police custody while undergoing treatment, pending investigation.
