The Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) has secured an international partnership with Project Management Professionals (PMP).
Barely Six months, since Director General Nee Alah Varpilah took over the entity with a commitment to rebrand, strive for excellence and facilitate quality learning and development opportunities for the public and private sectors of the Country.
The LIPA Director General said they’re particularly excited about becoming PMI’s Authorized Training Partner, on grounds that Liberia license will expand services to other professional institutions across the world.
According to him, the training has as its targets “Engineers looking to become PMI Construction Professionals (PMI-CP); Professionals from various sectors looking to become Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP); a vast population of talented undergraduates looking to explore a career in project management will be able to acquire internationally recognized certification as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).”
He emphasized that in the coming months, LIPA will mobilize experienced Liberian PMPs and other professionals to be trained in order to serve as trainers.
Varpilah said LIPA will officially launch the PMI certification pre-courses and testing at their state-of-the-art facility in Doemah Town, Margibi County.
When launched, Liberians will no longer endure the cost of traveling to Ghana or Nigeria to take their international certification test, DG Varpilah noted.
The Liberia Institute of Public Administration Director General is at the same time calling on members of the Mano River Union parliament to take advantage of the opportunity when officially opened in Liberia.
Director General Varpilah, further acknowledged the efforts of his co- workers for their continuous commitment in serving the Liberian people, vowing to make LIPA great once again.
He made the statement in an interview with journalists recently in Bong County.
