LFA Congratulates SWAL On Electing A New Leadership

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has congratulated the newly-elected leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL).
SWAL had a congress at Wulki Farm in Careysburg on December 9, in which a new leadership was elected for a three-year term.
Those elected were Varmah Kamara, Christopher Walker, and Edwin Dolo as president, Vice president and Secretary-General, respectively, after a tightly-contested race.
Jerome Willie, Naomi Tappia, and Yusuf Sherif were elected, unopposed, as Assistant Secretary-General, Financial Secretary and Chaplain, respectively.
“On behalf of the LFA, I want to congratulate all sports journalists for electing a new leadership in a peaceful, transparent, free, fair, and democratic process.
History has shown that there is no small or big election in Liberia. It is our hope that we will work together to develop and improve football at all levels for the benefit of Liberia,” said acting LFA President, Sekou Konneh.
Konneh also said the LFA will be represented at the induction ceremony when the date is finalized.
