The 54th Legislature will today, Monday, January 10, 2022 officially open for its 5th session.
The opening program of the Legislature is consistent with Chapter 5, Article 32 (a) of the 1986 Constitution of the Republic of Liberia which provides that the Legislature shall assemble in regular session once a year on the second working Monday in January.
According to a joint Press Release from the House of Representatives and Senate Press and Public Affairs Departments, the ceremony which will begin at 10 a.m. will witness a grand march by members of both Houses of the Legislature from the Executive Manson side to the Rotunda followed by the hoisting of the counties flags.
