The Paynesville City Magisterial Court has summoned the suspended Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), Eugene Fahngon, for a conference over a child support complaint filed against him.

According to a court’s citation dated February 17, 2025, and signed by Clerk of Court Hector M. Delo, Fahngon is to appear before Stipendiary Magistrate, William G. Saygah on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Madam Fatmata Mansaray claimed that Fahngon failed to support their child, Eugene Larmie Fahngon, Jr., since 2023, alleging that the financial neglect has placed a heavy burden on her, leaving both her and the child in a vulnerable position.

She further claimed that Fahngon has threatened her, warning that if she pursued legal action, he would retaliate through legal means.

Given the nature of the complaint, the court has ordered an amicable settlement conference to resolve the matter without formal litigation.

Fahngon has been instructed to appear promptly at the scheduled time.

This case has drawn public interest, given Fahngon’s high-profile role in Liberia’s media landscape.

The outcome of the conference could determine whether the matter proceeds to further legal action.
