Land dispute peace festival gears toward peace and reconciliation between the residents of Gbeh Manboe and people of Soo Kpairplay towns has successfully ended in Nimba.
Speaking on behalf of both towns, elder Robert Mehn, expressed thanks and appreciation to CSD officer Emmanuel Grausie for organizing such a program.
According to elder Mehn, land disputes between Gbeh Manboe and Soo Kpairplay towns left a pregnant woman dead and wounded several persons in the district in 2016.
” The land dispute peace festival brought local chiefs from the various towns along the Gbellay Geh belt, elders chief council, MIA County administrator Daniel Zekpeh, County Attorney John Miah, police general commander ACP Mendin Larmie, women group, among others respectively,” Old man Mehn mentioned.
Gbeh Manboe and Soo Kpairplay, Gblor Kweepea and Baiplay are towns are recent where land disputes left one dead with several others wounded.
Speaking on the same issue via mobile phone, LLA administrator Eddie Gbengar, boasted that Gbeh Manboe and the Soo Kpairplay peace festival was timely and highly attended by the people of the district.

When contacted, the chief elder of the council, Robert Sehnean, via mobile phone, expressed thanks and appreciation to CSD Commander Emmanuel Grausie, for organizing the peace festival geared towards between the two towns.
When contacted, the CSD commander Emmanuel Grausie said that land dispute peace festival organized in the district is designed to boost the image of the police and community policing as mandated by the Police IG in the country. “We were mandated by the police inspector general in the country to be persuasive in dealing with critical issues, as such, Gbeh Manboe and Soo Kpairplay land dispute has finally been settled through community policing method, CSD Grausie pointed out.
