Kpatolee United Sports Association (KUSA) has searched the transfer window and completed the signing of 2020-21 Liberia Football Association Bong County’s Most Valuable Player, Silvanus Brown, and Best Defender Mohammed Bangura as well as capturing 2022 Bong Cabilah Tournament’s MVP Mohammed Swaray.
Brown signed a 2-year contract with KUSA from Golden Star for an undisclosed fee like the other players who were bought by the club.
Last year, the playmaker won another MVP while featuring for Cuttington University as a student in the Liberia Spark University Football Championship in Monrovia.
Swaray, 17, signed two seasons with the lower Bong County Club.
The 2022 Cabilah Tournament’s MVP will help bolster the Kpatolee Boys in attack with the ability of playing in both flanks.
The vice-champions also bought Mohammed Bangura to reinforce their backline as a center-back. He’s capable of playing as a right-back and defensive midfielder.
Bangura, 22, won LFA Bong 3rd Division Best Defender while featuring for GTU in 2020/2021 season.
Meanwhile, the club has reunited with former Coach Gerald G. Ferguson who spent one and half season with King Sao Boso as technical director.
While on University duty, the gaffer was named Best Coach of the 2022 Liberia Spark University Football Championship.
Jackson Taikerweyah took charge of KUSA’s job replacing Ferguson in the second phase of the 2020/2021 campaign but Taikerweyah left after the club was eliminated from the National 3rd Division Playoff.
The team’s president, Foday B. Sama was delighted to receive the players and coach and promised to win this year’s championship and obtain a second-division slot.
Foday B. Sama said, “We’re glad to receive all of the new signees on behalf of the KUSA FC administration and pledge that KUSA FC will work with all of the technical staff and players to win the 2022/2023 Championship and further fight to qualify the team to second division.”
