The Founder and CEO of Kuoh Foundation and Academy, Cassell Anthony Kuoh, has assured of his commitment to increasing his donation of food and other assorted items across Liberia, thanking the Islamic community and citizens for accepting his gifts.
In celebration of this year’s holy month of Ramadan, Kuoh budgeted US$30,000 and donated over a thousand bags of rice, cartons of oil and cartons of fish to the Islamic Community, as they committed themselves to fast and prayers.
Speaking to a team of reporters at his office on Newport Street, Cassell A. Kuoh stated that he is delighted and pleased with his foundation, regarding their recent efforts in making sure that the religious communities are happy, especially during the Muslim holy month.
“We did this donation willingly and not for public office or position, because the election just ended and we have six years before going to election. We received calls and comments from some people whether we want to contest for Senatorial or Representative positions, but we are not thinking about such now.
“Our only focus point is humanity and the love we can share with our fellow humans. I am a strong Christian and I believe in the principle of giving. God expressed love by giving and so my family and I decided to share the love from our foundation with the Islamic community,” he said.
According to him, they have a plan to donate some ambulances to major hospitals that are lacking such equipment to help the citizens, and stated, “Because ambulance is like a mobile clinic where you can undergo major treatments while the ambulance is in motion.”
He stated, “We do not want to see people die while on their way to the hospital for lack of treatment, but to see a quick response team, and we believe that this will help the country at large, amidst the country’s fragile health sector.”
Meanwhile, Kuoh also used the occasion to announce the upcoming lunch for the Kuoh Foundation, which he said is the beginning of the many gestures Liberians are expected to benefit from him.
He thanked the citizens and the religious communities for their continuous prayers for the country, adding, “We hope that you will always receive our gifts in peace and love. Our doors are open and willing to hear from you at all times, with one vision to build our country.”
