The Kids Reading For All Foundation has donated essential educational materials, including pens, copybooks, pencils, and L$2,800 to 15 scholarship students at Ambulia Gbangba Public School in Maizen, Bomi County.
The donation was spearheaded by the foundation’s CEO LTCOL Saimo Omias Kortu, Executive Director E. Reagan G.T. Barcon and other dedicated team members.
This initiative is part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to empower underprivileged school-going children and promote quality education across Liberia.
During the handover ceremony at the school, LTCOL Kortu expressed the foundation’s unwavering commitment to supporting Liberia’s educational sector.
He emphasized the importance of empowering children through education and pledged to continue providing educational materials annually.
“Our goal is to ensure that no child is left behind in their pursuit of education. We plan to introduce scholarship awards for the best-performing students to encourage academic excellence,” Kortu stated.
Echoing similar sentiments, Executive Director Barcon highlighted the critical role of education and human capacity building in driving societal development.
He urged the scholarship recipients to prioritize their studies, respect their teachers and parents, and strive to become responsible citizens contributing to their community’s growth.
“Education is one of the most valuable investments in any society. These materials are tools to empower you to succeed, and we encourage you to use them wisely,” Barcon said.
In response, the school’s principal, teachers, and parents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Kids Reading For All Foundation for their thoughtful donation.
They applauded the leadership for their dedication to improving educational standards and creating opportunities for students to thrive academically.
“This donation will go a long way in addressing some of the challenges our students face. We are truly grateful for this partnership and look forward to future collaborations,” said the school principal.
