Journey Home Film Festival & The Liberia Film Awards Announces Filmmaking Mixer Series

The organizers of the acclaimed Journey Home Film Festival and the Liberia Film Awards say they are thrilled to announce the launch of the Filmmaking Mixers, a series of five bi-monthly networking events designed specifically for film industry stakeholders passionate about honing their craft and expanding their professional networks.
The Filmmaking Mixers aim to provide a dynamic platform for filmmakers, producers, screenwriters, cinematographers, film editors, and actors at all stages of their careers to meet, collaborate, and learn from each other in a supportive environment.
Each event features industry experts as guest speakers, learning opportunities and networking opportunities.
The first Filmmaking Mixer takes place August 22, 2024 at Twisters Lounge in Congo Town in Monrovia beginning at 4pm under the theme “Director’s Dialogue.”
Renowned film directors will discuss their experiences in film and the importance of combining vision and creativity in their productions.
“We are excited to launch the Filmmaking Mixer series. This series is a natural extension of the Journey Home Film Festival’s and the Liberia Film Awards goal which is creating opportunities for film industry stakeholders to grow and thrive in the Liberian film industry,” said Dr. Clarice Ford-Kulah, the Festival’s Executive Director
The Filmmaking Mixer series will take place every other month until June 2025 and will feature tailored discussions for producers, actors, screen writers, cinematographers and editors.
The first edition of the series begins on 22 August 2024 at 4pm at Twister’s Lounge.
