A broadcast Liberian journalist of the Ok FM, Zenu Koboi Miller, is dead. He died on Saturday, February 15 at the ELWA Hospital in Monrovia.
He once served as an editor, talk show host and news director at the Renaissance Communications Incorporated, the Truth FM 96.1 as well as the T-Five Radio Station which is owned and Operator by Montserrado County’s Electoral District #5, Representative Thomas Fallah and he was also a lecturer at the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism.
Zenu also well worked with the Lone Star/MTN Cell Communications Incorporated. Though there has been no official medical report yet to establish the cause of his demise, it is being reported that prior to his death, he was complaining of chest pains after reportedly being flogged by officers of the Executive Protective Services (EPS) during the final football match between Nimba and Grand Kru Counties of the National County Sport Meet held at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex on Sunday January, 26, 2020.
However, yesterday the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) issued a statement of consolation to its members as well as the family members of its fallen colleague in which it expressed sorrow over the passing of Journalist Zenu Koboi Miller.
“It is a shock to the PUL and an irreparable loss to the media community and Liberia at large,” the statement noted.
The Union stated that it is working with the family members to access the medical report as a means to provide a clearer picture of the cause of his death and urged members of the media and the public to remain calm.
Meanwhile, the Union said it recognized that the late journalist was one of its dedicated member who served the journalism profession with commitment and dedication.
