JEP Clarifies Power Outage In Nimba

Tension is reportedly mounting among the residents and jungle energy power over power outage in Nimba County.
Speaking, Jerry Weamie, says power outage couple with power failure at JEP is hampering the smooth running of his entertainment centers in Saclepea and Ganta.
According to Weamie, the continue power outage every day in the week has drop revenue and customers at his entertainment centers in the county.
“We are appealing to LEC to monitor JEP operations in providing the electricity among the customers to control increase in the power outage couple with other electrical issues in the county.
JEP is among companies hire by LEC to provide electricity for Nimba and Bong counties respectively.
Since the beginning of 2024, reports of power outage couple with other electricity related issues continue to emerge from JEP operation site from the border town of Loguatuo, Karnplay, Sanniquellie, Ganta and is creating serious concern among the residents in the county.
When contacted, JEP’s Managing Director Aleyou Musa Keita referred the paper to the Communications Director, Zawolo Bamakpa.
When contacted, Bamakpa said power outage couple with other electrical faults is coming from the Ivory Coast, a provider of the electricity to Liberia.
“The current problems pertaining to power outage is coming from Ivory Coast and is above the company’s score of operations. JEP is supplying over 20, 000 customers with electricity in Nimba and Bong respectively,” JEP PRO asserted.
“The power outage from Ivory coast is a serious issues and is hampering the smooth running of the company,” he disclosed.
