The Indian Community has again made another huge donation to the 14th Military Hospital in the Township of Schefflin in Margibi County.
During the presentation on behalf of the Indian Community on July 24, Upjit Jeety stated that the items which included some 300 bags of rice, five Honda motorbikes and two oxygen machines were intended to buttress government’s efforts in the fight against the COVID-19.
Receiving the donation, Jerry Brown, Chief Administrator of the John F. Kennedy Medical Hospital, paid tribute to the Community for its continuous support to the government and people of Liberia during this crucial time.
He expressed their appreciation for such a compassionate spirit exhibited by the Indian Community residing in Liberia. Brown then promised the Community that the donation will be used wisely for its intended purpose.
“From the beginning of the fight against COVID-19, the Indian Community donated some vehicles and other medical materials to the same 14th Military Hospital,” he recalled.
