INQUIRER Former Layout Editor/ Cartoonist Is Dead

The former Layout Editor and Cartoonist of THE INQUIRER Newspaper, Atty. Augustine S. Choloply is dead. He died yesterday morning at the Benson Hospital in Paynesville, following a brief illness.
He joined the newspaper at a youthful age in 1991, while attending the William V.S. Tubman High School in Sinkor, Monrovia.
He was recruited by the then Layout Editor of the paper, H. Wantue Major, who now resides in the United States, after deceased expressed interest in art works. Later, he rose to the rank of Assistant Layout Editor.
Upon graduation from Tubman High, he entered the University of Liberia and obtained a BA Degree in Political Science with his minor in English.
Still not satisfied with his Bachelor Degree, the deceased, affectionately called, “CHOLO” matriculated to the Louise Arthur Grimes School of Law at the same university, where he graduated few years ago. Later, he was admitted to the River Gee Bar, a sub set of the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA).
He was born august 1, 1969 in Harper, Maryland County unto Harry Choloply and Madam Elizabeth Dennis. He is survived by his wife, Minty Brisbane-Choloply, several children, relatives and friends.
Over a year ago, the deceased and several employees of THE INQUIRER left the institution and formed what is today known as THE INDEPENDENT INQUIRER newspaper, where he was serving as its Administrative Manager and Legal Consultant before his demise.
Meanwhile, his body has been deposited at a local funeral home awaiting funeral arrangements.
