The Liberia Football Association (LFA) Upper Women’s League defending champions, Determine Girls, delivered an outstanding performance on Sunday, March 9, 2025, as they demolished Ambassadors FC 7-0 at the Tusa Sports Pitch in Gardnersville Township.
From the opening whistle, Determine Girls demonstrated their attacking superiority, dominating the game in every aspect. Striker Mabinty Camara led the charge, scoring two goals in the first half. Her teammates, Bountou Sylla, Mbassey Darboe, and Lucy Massaquoi each found the back of the net, bringing the score to 5-0 by halftime. The second half continued in similar fashion, with Sylla and Jessica Quachie adding further goals as Ambassadors FC struggled to mount any serious challenge.
The match underscored the complete dominance of Determine Girls, who excelled in both midfield and defense, leaving no doubt about their status as the league’s most formidable team.
In another exciting match at the same venue, Stages Queens FC triumphed over Soccer Ambassadors with a 5-1 victory. The standout performer for Stages Queens was striker Chiamaka Nduka, who scored a sensational hat trick. Janies Dunbar and Marie Wiles each added one goal, completing the team’s dominant win. Captain Hannah Passay played a key role in defense, ensuring her side remained solid throughout the match.
Kneeling Warriors FC also secured an impressive win, defeating World Girls FC 2-0. Striker Anna Willis was the star of the match, netting both goals to seal the victory and lift her team to three crucial points.
In another standout performance, Senior Female Professional striker Decontee Jackson further solidified her reputation as one of the league’s top scorers, netting a hat trick in her team’s 4-0 win over Bushrod Queens. With her three goals, Jackson now has 22 goals in the ongoing LFA Upper Women’s League. Anita Tarpeh also added a goal to complete the scoring for her team.
Meanwhile, Ravia Angels FC delivered a dominant 5-0 victory against Real Muja, with Makasian Saryon stealing the spotlight by scoring a remarkable hat trick. Patience Konah also contributed with a goal, and Saryon’s three goals brought her tally to 16 for the season, firmly establishing her as one of the league’s top scorers. The team’s well-rounded performance showed their clear dominance on the pitch.
In a thrilling encounter at the SKD Practice Pitch, Shaita Angels played to a 2-2 draw against Earth Angels. Shaita’s striker Miatta Morris and Lucy Kikeh each scored a goal for their team, while Earth Angels responded with goals from Famata Diallo and Rhoda Wiefu to earn a valuable point in the hard-fought draw.
The weekend’s matches showcased the talent and determination of the teams in the LFA Upper Women’s League, with Determine Girls standing out as the dominant force.
