The immediate former Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor, has assured the public that she will still be around but will not checkmates or criticize the new government.
“I am not going to delve into political issues because this is a new government, so we must give them chance because they deserve a honeymoon time,” she noted.
Speaking on OK FM morning rush yesterday, Taylor said if past leaders will leave the country, she will still be around to give support to women and girls which is her passion.
“I am not going to die, I am not going away, I’m here to work for my country and its people and I will continue to work because I do not know where the future holds for me over the next years,” she expressed.
According to her, the Jewel Starfish Foundation will be turning 25 next December and added that she is going to set up new standards to be able to help a lot more people.
She revealed that Jewel Starfish foundation is Ghana, Malawi and Freetown and they have already extended their base waiting for additional funding to extend locally in other regions.
She maintained that Jewel Starfish Foundation is perpetual and urged girls benefitting from the Foundation to steps up because it is real sacrifice.
she also called other organizations to continue to help them emphasizing, “We are going to be working on rape and other gender-based issues and I do not think this Foundation is not going to die,”
“This is my passion-in creating opportunities for girls so that they will be part of the rebuilding of our country,” she disclosed.
According to former VP , women and girls are very important to the process noting, “Over the next few years you will see me In front of these issue as we will continue to provide training, leadership, empowerment and mentorship for the girl under our control at Starfish foundation.
