Guinea Resumes Movements Of Transit Vehicles

The Guinean government has with immediate effect resumed rigorous inspection of transit vehicles as more vehicles arrive at the main border in Ganta, Nimba County.
Speaking to this paper at the main border in Ganta, Ecarious T. Wonday of the National Customs Broker Association of Liberia disclosed the arrival of more than fifty vehicles at Ganta border in the county.
Prince Yintee , a representative of the National Customs Broker Association also explained that many of the vehicles are still on their way from Conakry to Liberia and will be arriving soon.
During May 2022, the government of Guinea imposed a stay order on all Transit Vehicles that led to the shortfall of the government revenue at the main Ganta border in Nimba County.
During a normal routine at the main border over the weekend, fleet of used vehicles arrive from Guinea into Liberia.
When contacted, the office of LRA confirmed that Guinea has lifted the stay order imposed on Transit Vehicles and more vehicles are on their way to Liberia.
