Fighting for one slot in the upcoming county meet final was a match for people in that part of Liberia to support their very best representative while they all hope to retain the championship won last year by River Gee County.
The game as the first semifinal encounter in this edition of the competition started very early on the clock with Grand Gedeh County reducing the Marylanders confidence in their dependable goalkeeper Simon Wesley.
Nuch Zohn and Daniel Moah in Gedeh forward line got three goals against their opponent in less than 30 minutes of play. Of the three goals, Nuch netted a brace while Daniel added a goal to relax the heart of all Gedians following the game.
After conceding three goals, Maryland managed to pull one back through Alieu Bah before the sound of the halftime whistle setting the first half score at 3-1 in favor of Grand Gedeh.
From the break, Maryland appeared to have calibrated her lapses as a result of the more possessive and expressive pressure pulled on Grand Gedeh. The two teams played the second half with only Maryland getting an additional goal to move the fulltime score to 3-2.
The last goal came through Osoto Jackson but was not sufficient to change the day despite the increase effort employed by the yellow jersey Boy from Cape Palmas.
