Gov’t Recognizes Indonesia’s Independence

President Joseph Boakai has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of Indonesia on the occasion marking the 79th Independence anniversary of that country on August 17, 2024.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended warmest felicitations to Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia and through him to the Government and people of Indonesia as they commemorate this auspicious day.
The Liberian leader anticipates that the cordial and bilateral relations subsisting between the two countries will be further strengthened and cemented for the mutual benefits of the two countries and peoples.
President Boakai also stressed the need to work with his Indonesian counterpart in furtherance of world peace, security and cooperation.
He then prayed that the Almighty Allah will endow President Widodo with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads his compatriots to greater prosperity.
