Gov’t Office Burglarized 2nd Time In Nimba

By Solomon T. Gaye

The Ministry of Education central office in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, has been burglarized.

Speaking in Sanniquellie, the office assistant explained that the incident was discovered on April 2, 2024, at about 8:00am.

According to the workers, the criminal allegedly passed through the back door, apparently removed the window bar and entered the office.

“15 cartons of senior high text books, including some computer accessories, were stolen,” the assistant disclosed.

Since the beginning of March 2024, this is the second burglary of a public building in less than three months in the county.

In March, unknown persons burglarized the administrative building in Sanniquellie and stole three air conditioners from the conference room.

“We reported the case to the police, but there has been no arrest up to present,” the assistant added.

The CEO, Moses Dologbaye, confirmed the burglary and alleged theft of text books from the storeroom while the police in Sanniquellie are still tight-lipped on the issue.
