Girl Kills Boyfriend For July 26 Money

The Liberia National Police has arrested a 21-year old girl identified as Marthaline Kollie for allegedly killing her boyfriend, James Tweh for giving her a scanty July 26 money at the Bardnersville Bend & Stop community.
The Police investigation stated that on July 26, suspect Marthaline Kollie left her Bardnersville area G residence and went to her boyfriend’s working place and requested for money to purchase food to cook for the holiday; Her boyfriend allegedly told her that he had no money but bought a pair of trousers & a boxer in her presence which prompted her to seize the items and took same home with her.
According to the investigation, while she was at home, James Tweh arrived and gave her seven hundred Librarian dollars and then requested for his items (pair of trousers and boxer) that she seized. After giving the items to the deceased, she requested for the money that she used to buy the plastic bag which was used to put the items in and while taking the money from his pocket he pulled out a large sum of money which prompted her to request that he checks said amount before her very eyes. By then they were still in the room and accordingly, fighting ensued where he allegedly pulled her hair attachment, butt her in the face and managed to escape from in the room.
The investigation revealed that when she came out of the room and did not see victim Tweh, she took a big blue & white handle kitchen knife, put it on her side and headed for Bend & Stop to the Prophet Gas Station where he worked.
Police investigation also revealed that while complaining to the deceased’s boss, she saw her friend and roommate (Patricia Patrick) along with the deceased on a motor bike coming from the estate towards them. Upon arrival, the deceased ran into the gas station warehouse and locked himself up.
Investigation established that she pulled the knife from her side and began to knock at the door and upon opening the warehouse, he rushed on her and in the event, she stabbed him on his side below his abdomen.
“In view of the foregoing facts and circumstances, coupled with evidence adduced, (victim’s body ), as well as witnesses’ testimonies, this investigation has resolved to charge dependent Marthaline Kollie with the crime of Murder chapter 14,subchapter “A” section 14.1 of the revised penal code of Liberia ,and be forwarded to court for prosecution,” the police charge sheet stated.
