General Mary Broh To Address Armed Forces Day

Madam Mary Taryonnoh Broh, Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), will next Tuesday, February 11, serve as Keynote Speaker during the 63rd Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) Day Celebration and its 112 years of existence since its formation in 1908.
Broh, 63, will speak on the theme: “Strategies To Incorporate More Females in The Security Sector: AFL In Perspective.” The AFL Day Celebration has always been used as an opportunity for the public, foreign guests and dignities to be acquainted with the activities regarding development and progress within the Armed Forces of Liberia.
In a statement issued yesterday by the Ministry of National Defence in Monrovia, this year’s celebration will begin with the Armed Forces Day (AFD) Symposium on Wednesday, February 5, and will be held at the Monrovia City Hall at 10:a.m. It is under the theme: “Strategies to Incorporate More Females in the Security Sector: AFL In Perspective.”
The statement said Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Counsellor Howard-Wolokollie, will serve as the keynote speaker. Discussants for the symposium will include Brigadier General Geraldine George, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL); Madam Faith A. Cooper, Country Director of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Miss Facia Harris, Media Officer, Independent Information Commission (IIC), Liberia.
Other discussants are Ingrid Wetterqvist, Swedish Ambassador to Liberia; Cecil Griffith, Head, Center for Criminal Justice, Research and Education (CCJRE); J. Emmanuel Bowier, Prominent Citizen, Liberia; Madam Asatu Bah-Kenneh, Deputy Commissioner of the Liberia Immigration Services (LIS); Rustonlyn Dennis, Representative Electoral District #4, Montserrado County; Madam Sadiatu Reeves, Deputy Commissioner of the Liberia National Police(LNP); Williemetta Saydee-Tarr, Minister of Gender, and Madam Marie Goreth Nizigama, United Nations Country’s Representative for United Nations Women.
The release noted that the Armed Forces Day’s Symposium will be followed by a Jummat Service at the Rehab Junction’s Mosque on Friday, February 7, at 10:a.m. while on Sunday, February 9, a Thanksgiving Service will be held within the New Generation International Church; the 12 Houses Road around the ELWA Junction at 10:a.m.
It went further that there will be a medical outreach and a clean-up exercise both of which will be held in the Township of Caldwell, and Careyburg Statutory District, in Montserrado County on Saturday, February 8.
During the medical outreach, it is expected that over 800 persons will be treated free of charge and noted that the purpose of the cleaning up exercise and medical outreach is to enhance civil-military relationship between the citizenry and the AFL.
This is intended to show the level of the AFL’s professional interaction with the public in order to build mutual trust and confidence with citizenry and to confirm the mindset of the citizens that indeed, the AFL is transformed into a professional force for good.
Also, during the celebration President George Weah, will lead an array of dignitaries to inspect or tour facilities of the 14 Military Hospital located at the Edward Beyan Kesselly Military Barrack, lower Margibi County. The construction is reported to have been 95 percent completed.
The Armed Forces Day Parade ceremony will be climaxed with demonstrations, display of equipment and a parade through the principal streets of Monrovia commencing from the Barclay Training Center (BTC).
However, there will be an official ball for officers, civilian staff of the Ministry of National Defense, officials of government, and members of the diplomatic corps, foreign, special and invited guests.

The root of your writing whilst appearing reasonable initially, did not really settle perfectly with me after some time. Somewhere within the paragraphs you actually managed to make me a believer unfortunately just for a short while. I however have a problem with your jumps in assumptions and one might do well to fill in all those gaps. If you actually can accomplish that, I would certainly be impressed.
