Gender Ministry Offices In Nimba Burglarized

The sub-offices of the Ministry of Gender in Sanniquellie Mah have been burglarized in Nimba County.
Speaking to this paper in Sanniquellie, Ministry of Gender Coordinator, Yei Belleh, disclosed that the criminals stole the printing machine, the chairs, a photocopy machine including other valuable materials from the office.
Coordinator Belleh added the items stolen from the office will create setback for workers’ operations in the office stressing “The criminals stole everything from the office, noting is left to work with.”
According to Belleh, the case was reported to the Police in Sanniquellie but there have been no arrest or words from the Police in terms of investigation.
Since the beginning of 2023, reports of criminal activities such as armed robbery, burglary, theft of property, couple with mob violence are becoming the order of the day and a commonly practiced norm in Ganta, Sanniquellie and other parts of Nimba county.
This is the third burglary in less than a year. During the beginning of 2022, the NEC sub office was burglarized taking away huge consignments of chines touch light from the ware house and the Sanniquellie Central High School was also visited by thieves who stole set of jersey, text books including other sporting materials.
When this paper contacted the Sanniquellie Police station, it was confirmed that burglary did take place at the Ministry of Gender sub office in Sanniquellie.
Speaking to this paper via mobile phone in Sanniquellie, the Criminal Investigation Department frowned at the Ministry of Gender for doing less to protect the office by not employing a security firm or watch men to guard the facility especially during the night hours
