The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the ELWA Hospital to identify with Ms. Masily N. Kenneh, a senior member of TEAM Inc., a women’s advocacy group.
Ms. Kenneh, according to a Gender Ministry release was one of the victims involved in the recent accident involving the President’s motorcade which led to the death of one person and three injuries recent on the RIA Road in Paynesville.
The ministry’s delegation, led by Assistant Minister for Gender, Ophelia Kennedy, conveyed the Ministry’s deep concern and empathy for Ms. Kenneh’s condition and thereby presented a purse on behalf of the Ministry and extended the Minister’s sentiments during this challenging time.
“We are here today to show our solidarity with Ms. Kenneh and to assure her that the Ministry of Gender stands by her side. We wish her a swift and full recovery,” stated Assistant Minister Kennedy.
Ms. Kenneh’s work with TEAM Inc. in advocating for women’s rights and empowerment is invaluable, and we want her to know that her contributions are deeply appreciated.
The accident, which drew significant attention and concern from the public, has highlighted the ministry’s commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to advancing gender equality and social justice.
