By Bill W. Cooper
Gbarpolu County Senator Botoe Kanneh has called on the plenary of the Liberian Senate to intervene between two health workers that reportedly led to the death of six persons in the county.
Senator Kanneh told members of the Liberian Senate on Tuesday May, 2023 that the bad working relationship between Peter George and Ponjah Mugabe of the Jallah Lone Health Center is worsening day-by-day.
Though Sen. Karneh failed to state the cause of the feud between the two top health officials, she expressed concern that if nothing is done urgently; this could degenerate into a chaotic situation in the health sector in the county.
Senator Kanneh who is the chairperson on the Senate Gender Committee further narrated that the working relationship between the two Gbarpolu County Health officers in the county is affecting patients who visit the facility.
Meanwhile, following her explanation, the plenary mandated Sen. Kanneh to write a formal communication to the Liberian Senate action due to the gravity of the matter.
