The Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia have described as wicked and inhumane the action of Ophoree Diah in collaboration with the Solicitor General, Syrenius Cephus, for maliciously possessing the truck of Mrs. Lucretia K. Turnquist.
It can be recalled that Mrs. Turnquist purchased a white Sino Dump Truck from the Ever Green Import and Export (LIB) Corporation at the cost of US$65,000.
According to the group, Mr. Diah was asked by Mrs. Turnquist’s daughter to keep the truck in his possession but to the amazement of Mrs. Turnquist, Mr. Diah is claiming ownership of the truck though he has no document to substantiate his ownership.
According to the group, the receipt issued by Ever Green the company that sold the truck to Mrs. Turnquist coupled with the vehicle registration documents of the truck by the Ministry of Transport testify that Mrs. Turnquist is the owner of the truck.
Given the facts and circumstance surrounding the ownership of the truck especially ranging from its purchase to registration at the Ministry of Transport, the Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia calls on President George Manneh Weah to take note of the activities of his appointed officials who are bent on derailing the efforts the CDC led government to heed to the wellbeing of the Liberian people.
The group said Mrs. Turnquist is a Liberian citizen who deserves equal protection under the laws of Liberia specifically the Liberia constitution which states that no person shall be deprived of the right to property.
The Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia said its investigation points to Solicitor General, Syrenius Cephus, being the mastermind behind the unlawful possession of Mrs. Trunquist truck by Opheree Diah and that this is a serious display of the misuse of power and authority by Cllr. Cephus.
The Free Conscious Independent and Objective Thinkers of Liberia said having reviewed the title documents of the truck and establishing the ownership of said truck, requests President Weah to ensure that Mrs. Turnquist take possession of her lawful property and if Ophoree continues to claim ownership, he must present his title documents rather than hiding behind Cllr. Cephus who is dispensing justice in a very strange manner.
