The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has fined third division side Field Marshall of Bong County.
Field Marshall were fined L$5,000.00 for their failure to honor a 2019/2020 Petro Trade Cup first round replay against first division side Monrovia Club Breweries at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on 15 December 2019.
Breweries and Marshall drew goalless at the David Kuyon Sports Pitch in Gbarnga, Bong County on 1 December 2019.
According to rules governing the tournament, there will be a replay if any fixture ends in a draw and an ensuing post-match penalty if the replay draws after the regulation time.
According to the FA, Marshall was fined in keeping with Chapter 8, Article 10 of the rules governing the 2019/2020 Green Petroleum third division and community league.
Bong County sub-association has been mandated to not register Field Marshall for the 2019/2020 season until the fine is paid
The LFA also fined second division’s Almighty FC L$150,000 on 12 February for failing to honor an Orange match-day 10 tie with Sandi FC at the Nancy Doe stadium in Kakata, Margibi County on 7 February.
Almighty were fined in keeping with Chapter 8, Article 10 of the rules governing the 2019/2020 Orange National League.
Meanwhile, Sandi has been awarded three points and two goals.
