Footballer Allegedly Killed In Armed Robbery Spree

One of the footballers who participated in the just-ended County Meet has been reportedly killed in Ganta City, Nimba County for an alleged armed robbery.
Sabu Yenglee, the victim who represented Nimba in the tournament believed to be in his late 20s, was allegedly mobbed by an angry crowd in the Glenyluu Community on the early evening of Tuesday, February 7, 2023, following his alleged involvement in armed robbery.
The defender was part of the Nimba County team that won the 2022-23 edition of the National County Sports Meet last month. He also featured in Nimba’s 2-1 defeat to Lofa County in their opening group match of the tournament in Voinjama on December 18.
It is reported that the late defender including two other guys to be identified had gone into the Glenluyee community to allegedly arm-rob one Harris Kerkulah.
There is yet to be any official statement from a family source or authority in the county to confirm this sad development.
