Express Disappointment …As Captain Jeboe Calls For ConfidenceLone Star Fans

Dozens of fans of the Liberian senior national team have describe described the national team’s performance as national embarrassment with the Lone Star getting another disappointing result Tuesday March 28, 2023 in the African cup of Nations qualifiers.
The fans assembling at gate #10 of the Samuel Kayon Doe sports Complex in Paynesville had the expectations of making history but the Lone Star failed to qualify for the nation’s cup over 20 years and they said the performance and leadership of Jeboe as team captain will go down in his professional career.
According to the leader of a fan-based group, Mark Buku, who led a group of over hundred spectators at the game’s venue, the result from the Lone Star game against South Africa appeared as disrespect to the country’s football.
Buku said the team’s poor performance before her own home fans showed no remorse that the supporters were with all efforts doing the best to motivate the players for a result which was not appreciated.
“We came here with the anticipation of getting a win so that some of us can go to Ivory Coast for the history making of our nation. See how we put the past of missing chances behind us to show up here today but what we got was a disappointment,” Buku stressed.
He added, “The team disappointed us ignoring all of our demands but that is just what we called football. We love the national team and what give us more joy to see William Jeboe still flying our band to the best of his ability.”

Lone Star Fans Express Disappointment
He disclosed that though the needed results were not gotten, the performance and leadership role played by Jeboe both on and off the pitch impressed the fans giving them (the fans) more that the Lone Star dreams will one day become a reality.
The famous cheering fan added that the technical team of the Lone Star needs to work closely with the Liberian National Fanbase Association in the vetting of players to feature in international encounters so that the team can be rebranded.
Jeboe in response called on Liberians to keep the confidence repose in the Lone Star by rendering their continuous support and cheering the red, white and blue colors.
Jeboe said though the fans were not please with the lost of the Afcon qualifiers, there are still more space and time that the team will prepare for and qualify one day.
According to him, Liberians should not in any way sit considering the number of times the Lone Star had failed to go to the nation’s but keep motivating their players no matter the result of today.
“It is not about how many times we will fall. We all are not pleased because it is not easy to come and not get the needed result. We will come back stronger and one day it to the nation’s cup,” Jeboe maintained.
The Lone Star captain also promised that the national team will restore joy to the over five million citizens of the country by qualifying to other bigger competitions after preparing more stronger and better in the future.
