Doxxbet Liberia Donates Phone To Media Institutions, Others

The management of a leading gaming company in Liberia Doxxbet on yesterday donated nearly 470 pieces of Mobiola Cellphones to several media institutions and the disable community across Liberia.

With the estimated cash value of the total number of phones donated set at approximately US$ 13,860, Doxxbet said it is concerned about the role of the media as it relates to the development of every country and the gaming sector.

The Group of 77 disable center on Newport Street received 15 cartons each containing 20 pieces of phones to be used by disable people for communication, business, social and many other purposes.

The names of print media institutions that benefited from the donation tour for their excellent and outstanding contributions to Liberia are the Inquirer Newspaper, the News newspaper, the Heritage Newspaper, FrontPage Africa and the Daily Observers while state radio ELBC, Prime FM, Ok FM, Sky FM and Truth FM all benefited as broadcast platforms.

Other auxiliary media groupings that formed part of the initiative are journalists that cover sporting activities called the Sport Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL), and the Press Union of Liberia (PUL)  

Speaking during the donation exercise, Zwannah Sarnor, the sales Manager of Doxxbet said that the company as part of its social corporate’s responsibility has seen the need to aid the Liberian Media space which the phones-donation forms a part of.

According to him, as the country gears towards electioneering period; the work of journalists in hard-to-reach areas could be considered as an issue impeding the facile functions of radio stations and Newspaper’s productivity.

“These phones are of high quality that are only seen in Liberia through Doxxbet and can easily be used by correspondents in various counties to enable them give timely news to the public,” he intimated.

Sarnor explained further that the phones will enhance the work of some level of relationship between the gaming company and other businesses operating to the best interest of the country.

“We brought these Mobiola phones to the disable center so that the disable people can be felt in the social cooperate responsibility of Doxxbet as an institution that is empowering many lives,” the Sales manager told the disable community.

He named FM radio, Camera, audio recorder, MP3 player and others as features found in the Mobiola phone along with a durable battery that lasts for three weeks and serves as power bank to other phones.

Receiving the donated items on behalf of one of Liberia’s trusted print institutions; the Inquirer Newspaper’s Business Manager Larkpor Boahdao lauded the management of Doxxbet for such timely gesture that will enable facilitate the functions of journalists in the country.

He noted that communication is indeed indispensable in our lives and having a private business giving out phones to media houses will undoubtedly enhance the betterment in service delivery.

Mr. Boahdao, like other reputable institutions, pledged an open working environment with doxxbet and called on other well-meaning businesses operating in the country to emulate their good examples.
